These terms apply to your use of the Applebrook Ducks website and to all purchases made through it. By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these terms.
1. Products
We take care to describe and photograph our products accurately. However, images are for illustrative purposes only and colours may vary slightly due to screen settings.
We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time.
Hatching eggs
Hatching eggs are available for delivery to UK addresses only and are sent via Royal Mail Tracked.
Due to their perishable and sensitive nature, hatching eggs cannot be returned once dispatched.
If your eggs arrive damaged, please send us photographs of the damage and we will arrange replacements.
We cannot guarantee hatch rates, as this depends on factors outside our control. However, we recommend you to candle the eggs seven days after the start of incubation, and if less than 50% are fertilized (as shown by photographs), we will provide you with additional eggs at no extra cost.
Live birds
Live birds (ducks and ducklings) are available for collection or local delivery only — they cannot be shipped via postal services.
We take care to ensure all birds are in good health at the time of sale. We also take care to ensure birds are correctly sexed and described, however sexing young birds is not always possible with certainty and we cannot guarantee the sex of ducklings.
Once a live bird has left our care, we cannot accept responsibility for its health or welfare. It is your responsibility to ensure you have appropriate housing, care, and any required licences or permissions in place before purchasing.
Live birds cannot be returned once collected or delivered.
2. Prices and payment
All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include any applicable taxes.
Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
For international orders, your bank or card provider may charge currency conversion fees. These are outside our control.
All product prices and descriptions are subject to change at any time before you place an order.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where:
- a product is unavailable
- there is an error in pricing or description
- we reasonably suspect fraudulent or unauthorised activity
If we cancel your order, we will provide a full refund.
3. Delivery
We aim to dispatch orders promptly. Delivery times vary depending on your location and the shipping method selected at checkout.
Live birds cannot be delivered — they are available for collection or local handover only.
Hatching eggs can only be delivered to UK addresses.
You are responsible for any import duties, customs fees, or taxes applicable in your country.
If your order does not arrive within a reasonable time, please contact us and we will investigate.

4. Your right to cancel (UK customers)
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods.
To exercise this right, you must inform us within this period.
You then have a further 14 days to return the goods.
Refunds will be issued within 14 days of receiving the returned goods (or evidence of return), using the original payment method.
You are responsible for the cost of returning goods unless they are faulty or not as described.
Due to their nature, hatching eggs are non-returnable once dispatched. Live birds are non-returnable once collected or delivered.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights.
5. International customers
If you are purchasing from outside the UK, you may have additional rights under the laws of your country. Nothing in these terms affects any mandatory rights you may have under those laws.
6. Website information
The content on this site is provided for general information only. While we aim to keep it accurate and up to date, we make no guarantees that all information is complete or current.
We may update or change content at any time without notice.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use our website or its content:
- for any unlawful purpose
- to violate any applicable laws or regulations
- to infringe intellectual property rights
- to harass, abuse, or harm others
- to submit false or misleading information
- to upload or transmit malicious code
- to collect personal data without consent
- to spam, scrape, or phish
- to interfere with the security or functionality of the website
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms.
8. Third-party links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices. Accessing third-party sites is at your own risk.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for any matter we are not permitted to limit or exclude under law.
We are responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or negligence.
We are not responsible for:
- losses that are not foreseeable
- delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control (such as postal delays or customs processes)
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the goods.
Nothing in these terms affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Applebrook Ducks and its employees, agents, and suppliers from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your breach of these terms or misuse of the website.
11. Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
Any changes will not affect orders already placed.
